Anadigm

Devised audio and RFID new market strategy. Designed prototype demonstration system to successfully secure new $10 million round of VC funding, and for presentation at the San Francisco AES Convention. Authored several technical papers and articles to promote Anadigm's unique technology to a wider audience (see Media/Publications). 2003 – 2005

Clearspeed

Identified new media creation markets (professional high performance audio systems). Established new sales relationships with potential customers (including Apple Inc, Avid, Merging Technologies). Prototype design for presentation at the New York AES Convention. 2005 – 2006

Sony Financial Holdings

Managed provision of retail point-of-sale (POS), extended warranty insurance and credit card services to the Sony UK and Republic of Ireland dealer network (150+ Sony Centre dealers, 250+ Independent dealers, national retailers and Sony Style (now Sony Direct) online store).

Implemented a switch from paper-based sales to electronic sales architecture (online Me2u Electronic POS), across entire network. Ensured electronic-POS system integration with finance and insurance services.

Managed relationships with over 20 Sony Dealer Principals (including House of Fraser, Heathrow Terminal 5, Sonex) and major finance and warranty providers (Black Horse, MBNA, HSBC, Domestic and General). Set in place a new 5-year warranty agreement, saving £750 000 pounds over the peak sales period (Christmas 2007).

Growth to £3 million group operating profit in 3 years. 2006-2008

Sony UK Tech

UK Technology Centre

Provided consultancy to Sony UK’s contract electronic manufacture from 2008-2010 including:

  • Identifying and pursuing contract manufacture opportunities within new business sectors

  • Creating and quantifying a database of 350 prospective contract manufacture customers in the aerospace, homeland security, defence and medical appliances sectors

  • Securing 40 new bid opportunities with 5 successful outcomes to date

New business relationships secured, including: CNI Guard, Chubb, Whitfield Solar, LED Roadway, as well as new internal Sony clients

As a member of the 5-year strategic review group, helped formulate a strategic plan for a system integration group and conducted a review of several internal business functions including procurement and IP.

Was responsible for managing the relationship with Sony Ventures and the Technium Incubator onsite.
